Privacy Policy

BottleSpeed processes information needed to operate the service, such as account and contact information, store and transaction records, security and access logs, and communications with BottleSpeed support.

For an SMS digital receipt, BottleSpeed retains the destination mobile number, consent date and method, the exact consent script and version, the related transaction and store, the staff user who recorded consent, and delivery status and provider message identifier when available.

For account verification, BottleSpeed processes the supplied phone number, one-time code request, and verification result. Account contact information and phone verification status help identify the account and secure future sign-ins. Before sending a verification text, BottleSpeed records the user, destination number, request time, verification purpose, exact consent disclosure, and request-button consent method. This consent record does not contain the one-time code and remains after the code is used or a send attempt fails.

BottleSpeed uses information to provide and secure its services, complete requested transactions, receipt delivery, and account verification, respond to support requests, maintain consent evidence, prevent misuse, and comply with legal and carrier requirements.

Mobile numbers collected for SMS receipts are used only to send the customer-requested transactional receipt and related HELP or STOP responses. They are not used for marketing or promotional messages under this program. Users separately request SMS codes when signing up, signing in, or verifying an account phone number; those numbers are used for the requested verification and related HELP or STOP responses, not marketing.

BottleSpeed may disclose information to service providers that process data on its behalf, including Twilio and telecommunications carriers for SMS delivery, and when required by law or necessary to protect the service and its users.

BottleSpeed does not sell or rent customer mobile numbers or SMS consent data and does not share them with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information won’t be shared with any third parties.

BottleSpeed retains information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service and meet legal, accounting, security, and messaging-consent obligations. SMS consent evidence is retained for as long as required to demonstrate valid consent, including at least until consent is withdrawn where applicable.

BottleSpeed uses administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

SMS recipients can reply STOP to unsubscribe or HELP for help. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to mark@bottlespeed.com. BottleSpeed may need to verify a requester’s identity before completing a privacy request.
